We learned the pieces in the previous ten units: concept, space planning, visual, materials, lighting, quantity surveying, presentation, ergonomics/regulation, copyright/ethics. In this final unit, we will combine the pieces into a single end-to-end workflow: a holistic process that starts from a customer brief, uses AI in the right places, maintains the discipline of verification, and goes all the way to a viable delivery. The goal is to view AI not as separate tools but as an accelerator of a single design process that you manage.

The main principle remains unchanged: AI produces and accelerates at every stage; The designer carries the decision, verification and responsibility at every stage. We will conduct this unit through a real scenario.

Scenario: 65 m² boutique florist + cafe

The customer wants to turn a 65 m² shop on the street into both a flower shop and a small coffee corner. The budget is medium, delivery is 8 weeks, the brand language is "natural and fresh". Now let's set up the process from start to finish.

Phase 1 — Discovery and brief (Unit 1-2)

Done: Interview with the customer, measurement, list of requirements. Distill the brief into three axes (function, atmosphere, constraint) with AI and derive clarifying questions. Mask credentials.

AI contribution: Summarizes the scattered request, generates questions, extracts concept aspects (e.g. "Botanical Freshness", "Hot Greenhouse", "Nordic Green").

Validation: Present the concept aspects to the customer and have them choose one. Take the measurements yourself; Don't trust AI.

Phase 2 — Concept and moodboard (Unit 2)

Three mini cases (holistic)

Case 1 — End-to-end time savings. In this 65 m² project, the designer used AI in six phases and completed the concept-visual-presentation phase in 8 days, which normally takes 3 weeks. He devoted the saved time to technical details and field coordination. But he did not skip verification steps in each phase; speed did not steal from quality.

Case 2 — Phase inconsistency detected. In the visual phase, AI deviated from the cream palette in the moodboard and shifted the render to cool gray. Consistency was restored when the designer reinserted the phase context (palette HEXes) into the prompt. Without context transfer between phases, the presentation would appear disjointed.
