Gains:
- Ability to draft hotel, room, tour and destination descriptions with artificial intelligence in accordance with brand tone and SEO
- Ability to produce social media, e-mail and campaign texts by taking into account originality, copyright and brand security.
- Ability to control unrealistic claims, copyright and trademark risks in the artificial intelligence output and ensure that the editor is responsible for the final text
The first thing a guest sees before booking a hotel or tour is often text: a room description on an OTA, a tour schedule on a website, a post on Instagram, an incoming campaign email. These texts are the showcase of the hotel; When written well, it creates trust and desire; when written poorly, it drives away the guest. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a powerful accelerator in producing this content: room descriptions, tour itineraries, destination promotions, social media texts and emails are drafted in minutes. But in a creative and commercial field, three boundaries are always observed: authenticity (no exaggerations/false claims), copyright (no copying someone else's text/image) and brand safety (not deviating from the brand tone and values). This unit teaches you how to use power and maintain those boundaries.
Content types and AI contribution

Explaining the program
draft day by day
Time, distance, price
destination text
don't inspire
rich narrative
Local accuracy
social media
interaction
Short, attractive text
tone, copyright, brand
Email/campaign
Conversion
personalized text
Bid accuracy
Common thread: AI delivers first draft very quickly; but realism, local accuracy, consistency of offer, and brand tone go through the human editor.
Brand voice: the most important input
Every brand has a voice, and if you don't describe it to the AI, it will produce copy full of clichés ("unique experience", "unforgettable moments") that sound like everyone else. That's why it's critical to provide a brand voice guide: the brand's personality (is it elegant, friendly, adventurous), words to avoid, tone of address, sentence length, and a sample "good" paragraph. If you add this guide to every content session, the AI's output will remain consistent and similar to your brand.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the writing technique that allows text to rank higher in engines like Google: the right keywords, clear titles, phrases the guest is looking for. When you give target keywords, AI can naturally place them in the text; but without piling up keywords or compromising readability.
Reality and exaggeration border
The most common mistake in tourism marketing is unsubstantiated claims of superiority: "best view in the city", "5 minutes to the beach", "the most luxurious spa in the area". AI easily produces such sentences because they appear convincing; But if these are wrong, the guest will be disappointed and a legal risk will arise as misleading promotion. Rule: verify or remove every concrete claim (distance, number, “most” claim, award, certificate) with fact before publication. Choose verifiable and honest statements like "walking distance to the beach" rather than "5 minutes to the beach."
Caution: Verify every factual and comparative claim that AI produces, such as “best,” “guaranteed,” “unique,” “5 minutes,” etc., before publishing. Misleading promotion is risky in terms of both consumer legislation and brand trust.
Copyright and brand security
Copyright means that a text, photograph or music cannot be used without the permission of the owner. AI can produce text that closely resembles a competitor's description or mash in elements of a well-known brand/character in an image request. To manage risks: (1) Rewrite and customize the AI output with your own knowledge, not as is; (2) do not use registered names, slogans and images of other brands; (3) Avoid any resemblance to a real person, well-known work or brand in AI-generated images; (4) do not use guest photos without permission. Brand safety means that your brand does not appear in a context that is sensitive, controversial, or contrary to your values; AI output needs to be audited from this perspective as well.
Step by step: Creating content with AI
- Define the brand voice and purpose. Tone guide, target audience, content type and purpose.
- Give real information. Room features, distances, program times — as verified.
- Ask for a draft. Limit concrete claims to only the information you provide.
- Check it out. Review for authenticity, copyright originality, brand tone and SEO.
- Originalize and publish. Add your own touch; The responsibility lies with the editor.
three mini cases
Case 1 — Fast and consistent content. One tour operator had to update the descriptions of 40 tours, and each one was taking days. They gave the brand voice guide and the actual schedule of each tour to the AI and produced drafts day by day; The editor verified and customized times, distances and prices. The work went from 3 weeks to 4 days, the tone remained consistent. AI provided the outline, the editor kept the truth and voice.
Case 2 — Unsubstantiated claim. A marketing executive published the phrases "best view in the city" and "5 minutes to the beach" in the YZ-produced hotel description without checking. The beach was 18 minutes; A guest pointed this out in a review and OTA reviewed the hotel description. Lesson: every factual claim had to be verified or replaced with an honest statement before publication.
Case 3 — Copyright risk. A social media team asked AI for a figure that resembled a famous animated character for a campaign image. The image was published and the brand received a copyright infringement notice. The right way: to produce original images that do not resemble any proprietary works, and to control the AI output for copyright.
Weak prompt / Strong prompt
Weak prompt:
Write a great, compelling description for our hotel.
This prompt creates clichéd and risky text: AI doesn't know the brand voice, doesn't know actual features, and produces unsubstantiated claims like "best," "unique."
Powerful prompt:
Your role: assistant to the tourism content editor.Brand voice: calm, elegant, understated; DO NOT use the words "best/unique/guaranteed". Target audience: couples looking for peace of mind. Content: OTA room description, ~120 words.REAL information (use only these): 32 m² room, French balcony, garden view, walking distance to the beach, free wifi, minibar available.SEO keyword: "quiet boutique hotel [city]".Task: write an honest, attractive description. DO NOT ADD any features or distance claims that I have not given; Using unverified superlatives such as "en/guaranteed".
Template: social media post set:
Brand voice: [tone]. Channel: Instagram. Purpose: interaction.Actual context: [event/campaign information, verified].Task: Write 3 alternative short post texts (max 3 sentences), suggest appropriate hashtags for each. Using registered trademarks/characters, unverified claims and clichés.
Template: tour itinerary outline:
Actual program: [stop, duration, time, distance — verified].Brand voice: [tone]. Task: turn this tour into a fluid program with day/time order. Write the time, distance and price ONLY as I give; fitting new stop or duration.
Template: campaign email:
Offer (verified): [discount/condition/validation]. Segment: [audience]. Tone: [brand voice].Task: write subject line + 100-word email draft, put one clear call (CTA).I verified the condition of the offer; Adding new conditions or discounts.
Common mistakes
- Not giving a brand voice. Clichéd, similar text appears.
- Not verifying concrete claims. Phrases such as "best", "5 minutes" etc. carry the risk of misleading advertising.
- Publishing the AI output as is. Rewriting is required for copyright and originality.
- Using registered trademark/character. It causes copyright infringement in images and text.
- Destroying readability for the sake of SEO. Storing keywords disturbs both the guest and the engine.
Tip: Always include two rules in your content prompts: “don't make up any feature/distance/offer I haven't given” and “don't use unsubstantiated superlatives like most/unique/guaranteed.” These two sentences largely cut off both hallucination and the risk of misleading publicity.
In summary
Content and marketing is the showcase of tourism, and AI is accelerating production from room descriptions to tour programs, from social media to campaigns. But in a creative-commercial space, three boundaries are maintained: authenticity (no exaggeration/false claims), copyright (no copies and proprietary elements) and brand safety (no deviation from tone and value). AI gives draft; The editor carries the truth, originality, brand voice and final responsibility.
Application task
Select a room or tour and write a list of 5 real/verified features. With the “strong prompt” template, ask the AI for a ~120-word description that aligns with the brand voice. Check the output for three aspects: (1) for fabricated specifications other than what you provided, (2) for unverified "en/guaranteed" claims, (3) for signs of copyright copying. Write down your findings with 5 items and customize the text.
